What you get

Heartplot is an AI story companion for adults. You pick a character and a story starter, then write the story together. The character remembers your plot, your characters and what happened last time, using a summary we keep for each story.

The characters are AI, not people, and they aren't other users. What they say is fiction, not advice.

Price

£7.99 a month. That's the total, and you see it before you pay.

There are no gems, tokens, per-message charges or extras to buy.

Your plan includes 3,000 messages a month. The count resets on your billing date. If you reach it, you can still read your stories but can't send new messages until it resets. Going over doesn't cost extra.

The free sample lets you send 3 messages without signing up.

Renewal

Your subscription renews each month on the date you first paid, at £7.99, until you cancel. We email you a receipt each time. If the price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling

Go to your account page, click Cancel subscription, then click Confirm. We email you to confirm. You can also cancel by emailing support@heartplot.app.

You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. Nothing renews after that.

Refunds and your right to cancel

Ask within 14 days of any payment and we'll refund that payment in full. No reason needed. This covers your first payment and every renewal.

If the service didn't work as described, tell us and we'll put it right or refund you.

To ask, email support@heartplot.app from the address on your account. We refund to your card within 5 working days of your request. Your bank may take a few more days.

The law gives you 14 days to cancel a new subscription. This refund covers that right and goes further, so you don't give up anything by starting to use Heartplot straight away. It adds to your legal rights and doesn't replace them.

Who can use Heartplot

You must be 18 or over. You confirm this before the sample chat and again when you sign up. If we have reason to think you're under 18, we'll suspend your account and ask you to confirm your age. If you can't, we'll close it and refund you.

One account per person. Don't share your sign-in emails.

Acceptable use

Heartplot is for romance and story, with no sexual content. Don't use it to write or ask for sexual content, involve anyone under 18 in a romantic or sexual story, write about real identifiable people in a romantic or sexual way, threaten or harass anyone, break the law, or get around the content filter.

An automated filter checks your messages and the replies. If it blocks something, the story goes back to where it was. Repeated attempts to get sexual content may lead us to suspend your account. Any attempt to involve children in sexual content will close it, and we may report it to the authorities.

The filter can miss things. If you see something that breaks these rules, email support@heartplot.app.

If you write about wanting to hurt yourself, the character pauses the story and shows where you can get support. Heartplot isn't a crisis service or a therapist.

Your stories

Other users can't see your stories. You own what you write. We use your stories only to run the service for you, as the privacy notice explains. You can ask us to delete a story, or your account, by emailing us.

The characters, story starters, names and app belong to us. You can share your own stories for non-commercial use.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable use rules. If we close your account for any other reason, we'll refund the month you're in.

If we stop running Heartplot, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, refund any unused part of your month and let you download your stories.

We may update these terms. We'll email you before any change that affects you, and you can cancel if you don't agree.

Liability

We take reasonable care to keep Heartplot running and your stories safe. AI replies can be wrong, odd or repetitive. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't have foreseen, or for decisions you make because of something a character said.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Law

These terms are governed by UK law. You can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protections of your local consumer law.
